Alexis Gonzalez serves as Managing Partner of The Law Offices of Gonzalez & Associates, LLC, dedicated to building a law firm for life for the clients who rely on it.

The youngest of founder Neil Gonzalez’s four children, Alexis grew up watching her father pursue his dream of becoming an attorney. His determination and resilience gave her not only a front-row seat to the making of a lawyer but also the inspiration to follow in his footsteps. She often reflects on Isaac Newton’s words: “If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.” For Alexis, her father is that giant, his example shaping her values and guiding her as she carries forward the legacy he built.

Alexis’s own story with the firm began in high school when she spent a summer in her father’s one-room office “working” as a file clerk. At that time, Gonzalez & Associates was just beginning to take root. After a brief but memorable chapter as a preschool teacher, she returned during college to a completely transformed firm—one that had grown into a major presence in Miami and expanded with offices in Tampa and Orlando. Taking on roles in pre-litigation and as a paralegal, Alexis gained hands-on experience across nearly every part of the practice, which ultimately inspired her to pursue her J.D. at Florida International University’s College of Law.

After graduating, Alexis rejoined the firm as an attorney, continuing her work in PIP and personal injury while also establishing the Family Law practice. In doing so, she broadened the firm’s services and strengthened its ability to stand beside clients in some of their most personal challenges. Known for her courtroom skills and her empathetic approach, she quickly built a reputation as both a formidable litigator and a trusted counselor.

Today, Alexis serves as Managing Partner alongside her father, guiding Gonzalez & Associates through growth and change while ensuring it remains adaptable in Florida’s evolving legal landscape. She believes deeply in surrounding herself with the best professionals, building a strong team, and supporting them so they can continue to achieve at the highest level because when her team thrives, clients receive the strongest advocacy.

Beyond her work as an attorney and leader, Alexis is known in the office for her creativity and attention to detail. She is the firm’s unofficial event planner, bringing energy and imagination not only to holidays and office gatherings but also to the daily business of the firm. While her time as a preschool teacher was short, she kept the quirky creativity from those days, like leading morning huddles, with the energy of circle time and keeping space for fun while tackling serious work.

For Alexis, carrying forward her father’s legacy is about more than practicing law; it is about compassion, connection, and honoring the giant whose shoulders she now stands on. Together with her father, she continues to shape Gonzalez & Associates into a true law firm for life, a trusted partner for clients through every stage of life’s journey.
